Less than three weeks after the running of this year’s rally, organisers of the Otago Rally have confirmed the date for the 2024 event.

Hayden Paddon has taken every stage win on his way to a commanding victory at the Winmax Brakes Otago Rally.

International guest driver Mikko Hirvonen has taken a convincing win in the Eneos Motor Oil Otago Classic Rally, becoming the first overseas driver to win the event since 2019.

Hayden Paddon and John Kennard’s golden run of form has continued, completing the opening day of action at the Winmax Brakes Otago Rally well ahead of their nearest rivals.

Finland’s Mikko Hirvonen was all class on the Otago Rally’s opening leg, leading the Eneos Motor Oil International Classic Rally for all but one stage of the day.

Atrio of Ford Escort RS1800s will lead the field in the 2023 Eneos Motor Oil Otago International Classic Rally, however, there will be rich competition from experienced campaigners up and down the field.

Dunedin’s Otago Rally has returned to its pre-COVID popularity with over 100 entries received for the event to run on April 1 and 2.

Olympic medallist and three-time World Champion BMX racer Sarah Walker will make her rallying debut at this year’s Otago Rally as guest driver.

Entries continue to stream in for the 2023 Winmax Brake Pads Otago Rally, with Hayden Paddon heading the field in his Hyundai.

The 2023 Otago Rally Scholarship has been awarded to Jonty Brenssell – who also won the award for the aborted 2020 event.
