Scenic Hotels to support 2011 Otago Rally

Jeff Judd, 2010 Otago RallyNew Zealand's leading hotel chain, Scenic Hotels, has joined forces with the Otago Rally to become the event's accommodation partner in 2011.

To be held from April 8 to 10, the Otago Rally will base its
headquarters at the Scenic Hotel in Dunedin, with the event's key
officials and competitors staying in the hotel.

As a long time supporter of the Otago Rally, Scenic Hotels will offer
accommodation and meal discounts to competitors in the 2011 rally, with
event spokesman Roger Oakley thrilled to have the hotel chain on board
as a supporter.

“The Otago Rally continues to go from strength to strength and we
couldn't have a better accommodation partner than Scenic Hotels,” Oakley
said.

“To have quality accommodation for competitors and officials is great,
while the Scenic Hotel also offers us first class facilities to base our
event headquarters and command centre, which is vitally important to
the successful running of the event.”

Competitors or spectators can now take advantage of the Scenic Hotel's
early bird accommodation rates. Rooms booked before April 1, 2011 will
be at a rate of just $125 per night, plus GST.

As an added bonus, the hotel will offer a fully cooked breakfast for the discounted rate of $20, plus GST.

“We have had a long association with the Otago Rally, and are very
pleased to be associated with this iconic event,” Scenic Hotels
spokesperson, Sarah McDonald, said.  

“The way that it attracts a large number of people from within New
Zealand and Australia is very well aligned with Scenic Hotels'
business.”

Planning for the 2011 Otago Rally is already well underway. The event
will be the first round of the New Zealand Rally Championship, and will
also incorporate the popular Dunlop Classic Rally of Otago.
