Winmax has signed on for the second year as the major sponsor of the Otago Classic Rally, to be held from April 3 to 5, 2020.
Distributed in New Zealand by Paddon Rallysport, Winmax is the leading brake pad supplier for NZ rallying, with an impressive list of top teams insisting on them.
The Winmax Otago Classic Rally will be headed next year by former WRC star, Mikko Hirvonen, who will drive the Rossendale Rally Team’s Ford Escort RS1800.
“The rally is grateful to Hayden for his unwavering support of the Otago Rally, and of rallying in NZ,” Otago Rally spokesman, Roger Oakley, said.
“He has willingly supported us over the years in a whole range of ways, big and small.”
Competitors in the 2020 Winmax Otago Classic Rally will again run in reverse seeded order in front of the Asia Pacific and New Zealand rally championship fields, making for a great spectator attraction.
The rally has a compact route of 280km over 15 flowing stages to the south and west of Dunedin.
The Otago Rally gratefully recognise the support of the Dunedin City Council for Premier Event funding.
