Competitors, officials and spectators at this year’s Rally of Otago, to be held on April 10 and 11, will once again rest easy with Dunedin’s Scenic Hotel Southern Cross being the hotel of choice.
All people associated with the event, whether it be as a spectator, official or competitor are encouraged to use the hotel, as this benefits the rally.
Formerly known as the Southern Cross Scenic Circle Hotel, the
re-branded Scenic Hotel Southern Cross has been the rally base for many
years, offering the best in accommodation and facilities for rally
guests.
The hotel will house the official rally headquarters, while a large
proportion of the event’s competitors, including the international
teams, will use the hotel as their base during the southern
hemisphere’s foremost classic rally.
Each day of the rally will start from outside the hotel, with rally
cars being on display prior to leaving on the rally’s famous
competitive stages.
“The central location of the Scenic Hotel Southern Cross makes it an
ideal location for the Rally of Otago to be based, and we look forward
to going back there again this year,” event spokesman, Roger Oakley,
said.
“The Southern Cross is the best hotel in Dunedin and everyone involved with the rally enjoys its high class facilities.”
A special discounted accommodation rate is available for rally
competitors, with a low price of just $125 +GST per room (single,
double or twin share).
All people associated with the event are encouraged to use the attached
