For 2022, the country’s signature classic rally will be known as the ENEOS Motor Oil Otago Classic Rally, with the company also taking naming rights of the rally’s service parks.

This affiliation will work hand in hand with ENEOS premium oil products that are known to improve reliability and efficiency.

Having been established in 1997, the Otago Classic Rally has grown to have a substantial international reputation, with many Australian competitors and high profile European WRC stars competing over the past 20 years.

ENEOS is growing its footprint in New Zealand and sees the association with the Otago Rally, with its excellent reputation and profile, as a natural partnership,” Toshi Saito, Business Development Executive for ENEOS New Zealand / 360 Auto parts, said.

“We can’t wait for the April 2022 event.”

ENEOS is Japan’s No.1 oil company that directly supplies motor oil to businesses in New Zealand.

They are involved in a number of motorsport partnerships around the world, from MotoGP, Super GT, formula drift and now rallying.

“We are extremely pleased to announce this partnership,” the Otago Rally’s Roger Oakley commented.

“The ENEOS people have impressed us with their genuine enthusiasm to support the event and make this a mutually beneficial partnership.

“We are proud to be associated with ENEOS.”

The 2022 ENEOS Motor Oil Otago Classic Rally will be held on the weekend of April 9 and 10, in conjunction with the opening round of the Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship.
