The greatest rally

The date for 2013 Rally of Otago has been moved forward a week, with the event now to be held from April 5 to 7.

The change of date became necessary after the recent release of the V8 Supercar calendar, which saw the NZ round of the series clash with the opening round of the 2013 New Zealand Rally Championship.
The Rally of Otago will return to its regular place as the opening round of the New Zealand Rally Championship (NZRC) in 2013.

The Dunedin-based rally will be held from April 12 to 14 next year, and is one of only two events in the 2013 championship to be held over more than one day.

This documentary follows the 1973 Heatway Rally, a mud and oil-splattered event in which 120 drivers covered 3600 miles over eight days. Classic viewing!
